The Best Bath Bomb!

Now on my blog I like to keep it varied. I don't like posting about the same brand too often, or similar products or posts.
So when I posted my Lush Haul. (Read it here!) I thought I was all well and done for about another year, until next years good stuff comes out!
However I was dragged (haha!) in again with my Aunt after my haul was posted, and something caught my eye.

Its the Northern Lights Bath Bomb.
The main factor that grabbed my attention is that it's a long cylinder shaped bath bomb, instead of the traditional sphere, or novelty ones.
Plus it's bright purple, so a bit hard to miss, and it smells SO good!

Another good point of this for me is that it doesnt have any glitter hidden away in it. As it can irritate my skin, and cleaning out the bath is a pain!

It's so bright and strange that I HAD to try it!

As soon as it hits the water, it starts fizzing and turning your bath water a beautiful deep purple.

It soon releases a splash of red, and blue from the center.

Still plenty of purple to go through!!

It even has little stars in it!

Once you get closer to the core, the yellow starts to appear, along with alot more blue.

Finally you're left with a deep purple bath that smells amazing.

I was totally entranced by this bath bomb. It fizzes for ages, with so many different colours, it smells amazing and leaves your bath deep purple.

Along with the little stars inside, the colours make for a real fireworks show!

B Clean Melting Gel Cleaner

As someone who suffers from problematic skin, my skincare routine can be one of the most important parts of my day.
If I don't make sure my face is clean and clear of makeup and dirt at the end of the night, I end up with red, dry, flaky skin which can be embarrassing and sometimes hard to resolve or hide.
So obviously a good cleanser is going to be a big part of my routine.
The main problem I find is a lot of skincare products can be too harsh, or full of chemicals for my skin and I cant use them without pain, redness or just bad results all round.

However the B Clean Melting Gel Cleanser from Superdrug, is super gentle, feels great and really works well.

It applies as a gel,which i dab over my face with my fingers, and as you rub it melts into your skin turning to an oil. Then you wash it off with warm water and it leaves your face clean, soft and clear of makeup and dirt. It even works well on eye makeup, with a gentle rub!

The only thing I'm not 100% sure about is the packaging (surely that says a lot!) I don't know if I like the super simpleness, or if its too simple. It's a strange critic but it's the biggest bug bear I have against this product.
Also an added bonus is this is a Cruelty Free product, which is an amazing thing to see so clearly labelled on the product.

Mac CC Creme

As a girl that has a long lasting struggle with embarrassing redness, i'm constantly on the lookout for anything that promises to stop me looking like a tomato by 11am. I am mostly left disappointed by products that instantly cover the redness, but as the day wears on it slowly creeps its way back to my cheeks and i'm running to reapply. Luckily MAC have come out with a range of CC (colour correcting) primer products, with 4 shades each available in a creme, compact or loose powder.

I went with the shade Neutralize in a creme form, which is yellow toned to counteract red tones and even out your skin tone. It can be quite a panic when you see the product and it looks so yellow, however these are quite sheer once applied. You do still look a little ghost-like until you apply your foundation on top though!

Another plus point to the CC range is they are all a super hydrating primer, and your moisture levels improve 30% after 4 weeks use! So they help to tackle any annoying dry patches and won't cling or become flaky through the day. They are all SPF 30 too.

Please ignore my terrible skin condition.

I would totally recommend the Neutralize for anyone who is looking for even skin tone and to cover redness, I personally haven't tried the other products in the range, but i'm sure they're all on a par with this product, so pretty damn great!
At £23.00 for the creme and £20.00 for both the compact and powder, these are consistent with other MAC prices, while a little on the more expensive side you do get a really great product and a little definitely goes along way.
Personally this has gone straight into my everyday makeup bag, so in my eyes its a winner.
