January Favourites.
I've recently taken a little break from blogging, due to my work life becoming more and more busy, plus being so unmotivated. But im back, and whats better to start with than a favourites post?
This months lot is a bit of a mixed bag. With even a makeup remover in for good measure. So lets get to it.
First up is the Estee Lauder Take It Away makeup remover lotion. At first i was a little unsure, thinking it was going to one of those products i use for a while and then forget about. But as someone who is a little bit lazy when it comes to taking my makeup off, this has changed everything. One pump on a cotton pad and it removes everything, even long lasting foundation. The only thing is it takes a little more effort to remove waterproof mascara, but thats expected. It is a pretty pricey product at £22 but you get 200ml and it lasts forever!
Next is my new favourite lipstick from MAC, which is the shade Touch in a Lustre finish. I was after a new nude shade that i could wear both day and night. And this one is perfect, especially with my fairer skin tone. Plus the shade is buildable, meaning it can be more sheer for day and more intense for night. This is quite hydrating and smooth feeling on the lips because of the finish, another reason why its an everyday fave.
I have also been loving the InstaBlur Primer from The Body Shop. This has a 5 in 1 primer, and is very similar to Benefits Porefessional (that kind of silicone, gel primer). It hides pores, smooths your skin, controls shine, hides blemishes and extends your makeup. I love this underneath my foundation, it smooths my skin and makes it feel hydrated too. Plus i have noticed a difference in how my makeup does last longer!
I've fallen back in love with Maybelline The Falsies mascara. Its always hanging around my makeup bag, but i picked it back up this last month and i just love it. It creates black, more voluminous and much longer lashes. It makes such a difference to my lashes with just a couple of coats, and its so cheap compared to others out there.
Last of all this month, its my favourite foundation. This month is the MAC Studio Sculpt, i have the shade NW20. I love this foundation because it is so good for dry skin, and gives a great coverage. It has a gel base, so it is hydrating and doesn't dry out your skin. It is a medium coverage but can be built to a full coverage, so is perfect. Plus with the primer it lasts all day long.
