Its that time again already! (Seriously where did February go?!) 
I don't have too many favourites this month, as i seem to have stuck with what i've used before. But i'm still going to do this little post, it keeps me organised and blogging regular! Does anyone else struggle sometimes with keeping up?! 

Now a bit of a change of pace for my blog with this post. Its a little more lifestyle based, so if that's not your scene, ill let you skip this one (haha). But if you're a little bit nosey, like me, keep reading! 

I used to be the ultimate cynic when it came to February 14th, but as I've been with my boyfriend Matthew for 3 years now, its grown on me. We never used to stray from the comfortable night in with a HUGE pizza and a movie (still a firm favourite way to spend an evening). But we tried something a bit more adventurous and I thought id share. 

One of my favourite drugstore makeup brands is Collection 2000, the quality of product compared to the price is amazing. And who isn't in love with the Lasting Perfection Concealer? A must have!
But there are some other gems to be found in the collection. (See what I did there?)


The Primed and Ready Primer. 
This primer is silicone based, like the Benefit Porefessional, and offers a smoothing and lasting finish. It also claims to reduce the appearance of pores. While it does give a smoothed appearance and helps your makeup last longer, it doesn't quite have the same effect on reducing pores as the Benefit alternative. But at £5.99 (on offer at Boots for £3.99) who's going to complain? The quality is great for its price and you get a lot of product for the price to! 

September is over already, where has this year gone? And the nights are getting darker, its time for cuddly jumpers, marshmallow hot chocolates and autumn colours!

While September has been unusually summery this year, it hasn't stopped me getting excited about revamping my makeup routine to include warmer, deeper tones.
Here's my favourite items for adding that little bit of an autumnal feel. 
Starting with eye products.

 Those are my current favourite products for that autumn look, i like to change just little parts of my usual routine such as a new lip colour or eyeshadow. Not too dramatic, but a lovely change :)

Now I am not a major fan of any kind of cream or gel shadows, I find that they crease, rub off or are a just plain nightmare! Personally I end up with it too thick or too bold and it all goes a bit Kiss wannabe.
Now these shadows are a totally different story, I picked one up (On and On Bronze) as I'd heard alot of good things and well I didn't have any gel shadows.


The formula of these is so smooth and silky it feels like a dream to apply and are easier to apply than other gel or cream shadows (this might just be me and my rocky relationship with them!!) But the great pigmentation of the colours means they glide straight onto the lid with bright bold staying power. With a metallic shimmer these are perfect for both as your final colour or to use as a base shade. 

Walking into my local Boots store I noticed that the Maxfactor stand had a bit of an offer on that I couldn't leave sitting there..
